To Lan

The lines you have written,
Have spoken to me,
Telling me that the beauty in your soul,
Radiates with the light of one thousand suns,
All of the stars that sprinkle the night sky,
Could never even begin to compare,
To the brilliance of your shine.

With this hand, I write to you,
Pondering what words to use,
To speak to you.
How could my silly phrases possibly reach you,
When I lay upon the ground,
And you are stationed above the clouds?

Your words sing Utopian songs to me,
Racing ahead of the rest,
You dance with Beauty,
Yet you lie with Darkness,
You are the mistress to a poet,
A poet I once knew.

Higher rising you are,
On your wings made of gold,
‘Till you sit atop the Sun itself,
Finally letting it bask in your brilliance,
And shining through my darkness,
With your light.

Yours Truly,
Atirah

A Love Story

Published May 7, 2013 by atirahjewel

The passionate love story,

Of the Moon and the Sun,

So far apart yet still so in love,

The hot Sun burns with passion for his Moon,

The radiant Moon shines with love for her Sun,

All through the day, all through the night,

They long for each other,

But no matter how hard they try,

They can never grow closer,

Except when the Sun is setting and the Moon is rising,

And for a brief moment, the two lovers share the sky,

Lighting up the sky with the colors of their love making,

Passionate, intense, fulfilling their desire for one another,

But of course, the Sun must go,

Giving the Moon the sky all to herself,

Letting night blanket the sky,

Alone she cries her glittering tears,

She longs for him,

Much like how I long for you,

So here, under the moonlight,

Under the light of a woman suffering in love,

Take me,

Be my Sun, make me your Moon,

Let us make our own love,

Love me until the lovers of the sky are together again,

Hold me until sunrise,

When they make love once more,

Then suffer with the Sun as I suffer with the Moon,

Until the time comes when we can briefly share the sky once more,

And color the world with our love.

Vanilla Death

Published April 10, 2012 by atirahjewel

I sit,

Surrounded by the enticing scent of sweet,

Constricting me in ribbons of vanilla,

Murdering me with pleasure,

I sit, basking in this aroma,

Inhaling it to the top of my lungs,

This delicious scent,

It will be the death of me,

How sensual, how delicious,

So fragrant,

Filling me with desire,

I must be dreaming,

A creamy tasting kiss is planted on my lips,

This must be what hell is like, because it is too dirty to be heaven,

Too filthy with wanting,

In time, my body will find yours,

I sit, waiting for it to happen,

Waiting for us to become one,

In this moment,

These polyester sheets feel like satin rubbing against my thighs,

And as we touch, I am once again overtaken by that sweetness,

The lacy scent of vanilla,

Oh yes,

This pleasure will be the death of me.

Azure Velvet

Published March 2, 2012 by atirahjewel

I was dreaming,

Of a world free of sin,

I was hoping,

For a world free of heartbreak,

I was wishing,

For a world full of beauty,

But those wishes,

Those hopes and dreams,

Would never be fulfilled,

So I dreamt to get away from here,

Away from this cold-hearted world I am forced to live in,

I longed for paradise,

A paradise so wondrous,

I would never have to wish again,

I was so lonely,

So spectacularly broken,

The only thing I could ever do,

Was dream,

Wish that death would take me over,

Hope that death would become me,

I basked in the radiance of the thought,

My being was too filled with the sorrow,

Of the unfeeling world,

Of the cruel world,

So I lifted myself,

I saw finally the beauty of the snow,

The stars gleamed brightly as they fell from the sky,

Spotting the ground white,

Sparkling white stardust, snowdrops,

I would no longer cry tears,

I would no longer feel pain,

Death now surrounded me,

And touched my skin,

With delicate folds of azure velvet,

I was free,

I was happy,

I was dreaming,

Of a world free of sin,

I was hoping,

For a world free of heartbreak,

I was wishing,

For a world full of beauty,

But those wishes,

Those hopes and dreams,

Would never be fulfilled,

So I dreamt to get away from here,

And away I went.

Aphrodite

Published February 11, 2012 by atirahjewel

She is no mortal woman,

She is Aphrodite herself,

She has to be,

Her beauty unmatchable,

With eyes of deep emerald green,

And bistre brown hair,

Her skin pure ivory porcelain,

Her cheeks replaced with soft red roses,

Her breasts soft mounds on the wondrous landscape that is her body,

As I look at her,

I am shot by the arrow of her son Cupid,

The arrow finds its target as easily as she has captured my heart,

Oh if only she would have me,

And take me to be her lover,

Forever and always,

I bow down to you,

And bask in all of your radiance,

My Goddess of beauty,

Aphrodite.

I Look up to the Sky

Published November 10, 2011 by atirahjewel

I look up to the sky,

And I see such great light,

Her pregnant belly,

Lets its radiance shine down,

Its immense beauty makes a teardrop form on her cheek,

I watch as it forms the first star,

I watch as this woman then sobs,

And her gentle tears sparkle down,

And covers the indigo satin hovering over the world with diamonds,

Beautiful diamonds that seem to glisten and dance,

Like a child playing in the sun,

As the truck of ice cream rolls down the way,

With its variety of flavors,

Some bland some unique,

The excited child stands in the shadows,

For she has no money to give,

For that moment,

That child does not exist,

I look up to the sky,

Like child, it fills me with sorrow,

For I can see the future in the full moon,

As I gaze,

The moon seems to smile at me,

As I am its daughter,

That it still carries in its pregnant belly.
